Best described as the Olympics of Trade and Technology, the Skills Competition allows young people to represent their school in a competition representing a wide variety of trade and technological events. The Skills Competition is an event held at regional, provincial, national and international levels. This year’s Provincial competition was held at the Edmonton Expo Center. There were 25 Harry Ainlay students competing in the following areas: Culinary Arts, Cabinet Making, Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, Mechanical CADD, Architectural CADD, Job Skills Demonstration, Hairstyling, Robotics, Welding, Women’s Apparel Design, 2D Animation, and TV Video Production.
We had 23 students from Ainlay who competed at the event and are very pleased with all of their efforts and time spent training for their event. The students rose to the challenge, competing in events that lasted up to 14 hours over two days.

Andrew Harrison, Paige Larsen David Reid, Teodora Bosonea, Brandon Prochnau, Robert Donaldson, Kristyne West, Melisa Mazhandu, Evan MacDonald, Ryan Nelson, Zico Pandey, tanner Hudson, Anaf Adel, Jared Jorgenson, Isabelle Semple, Sade Cyrus, Minha Cho, Steven Buchan,
